Genesis 1:14… God purposes Jesus to be the light of the world to shine light on our spirit and soul. After salvation Jesus will be indwelt within our  spirit again shining light on it. Our spirit will also be indwelt by The Holy Spirit changing the nature of our base spirit. Our spirit will be able to discern right from wrong Jesus’ sacrifice accomplishes this.
