I ask you the direct question? Is there a metaphor running through the whole of Genesis 1 and 2? This is a yes or no question.
If you answer yes, then ignore the rest of this e mail, if you think there is not, even if you think one word of Genesis 1 and 2 (except possibly the last verse of Genesis 2) is not part of this metaphor then answer no. But if you do then please answer these questions below, (this is my approach to arguing with non gap theorists who question it btw and the arguments do not last long!)
- With consistent biblical based and logical ‘typing’ the whole of Genesis 1 and 2(every single word) provide a parallel between our spirit and life on Earth as pointed out by Paul (2 Cor 4:6). Is this a coincidence? The Genesis Similitudes here https://www.worldsapartbiblically.com/genesis_similitudes.html
- Throughout Genesis 1 and 2 are a series of adjoining similar sentences/text, and with the same consistent and logical ‘typing’ every first sentence describes a before salvation status and every second-the step wise path to salvation . Is this a coincidence? here https://www.worldsapartbiblically.com/page562.html
- On day 3 why did God use the terminology ‘herb yielding seed’ and ‘tree yielding fruit’ which when viewed with (Isaiah 40:6-7) (1 Peter 1:24) (2 Kings 19:26) (Isaiah 37:27). ‘ (Galatians 3:16) (Galatians 3:29) are logical metaphors for Jesus and the Holy Spirit?
- On day 3 why is grass not described as a kind? Is not everything a kind? (verse 11)
- On day 3 why is the ‘herb yielding seed’ not a kind in the first statement (verse 11) but is in the second statement(verse 12)?
- On day 3 why is the ‘fruit yielding tree a ‘kind’ in both sentences?(verse 11 and 12)
- On day 3 why does the seed of ‘fruit yielding tree’ change to be within ‘a kind’ in the second sentence? ?(verse 11 and 12)
- On day 3 why is the ‘fruit yielding tree’ upon the Earth in the first sentence and becomes just a ‘kind’ and not upon the earth in the second? (verse 11 and 12)
- On day 3 why is there no follow up God made but just a God said? Didn t the Lord Jesus (God) make these things too? (verse 11 and 12)
- The kosmos-ruah metaphor as described by Paul (2 Cor 4:6) explains all of these and all testify to the Lord Jesus Christ. Can you explain these nuances in the text and testify to Christ at the same time?
- On day 4 why does God not use the words for sun and moon but just uses the more ambiguous term lights which again can be metaphors for Jesus and The Holy Spirit?
- On day 4 why does God seem to refer to a non specific ‘firmament’ when there are two, one our atmosphere and two our cosmos?
- On day 4 why do the lights seem to give ‘ light upon the earth both before and after they are ‘set’ in place?
- On day 4 why is the same word used-great- as for whales in day 5?
- The kosmos-ruah metaphor as described by Paul (2 Cor 4:6) explains all of these and all testify to the Lord Jesus Christ. Can you explain these nuances in the text and testify to Christ at the same time?
- On day 5 why aren’t ‘the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly’ classed as ‘kinds ‘ in the first statement?
- On day 5 why are the ‘great whales, every living creature that moveth, and every winged fowl’ become all kinds?
- On day 5 why do 2 things produce 3 things (the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly’‘great whales, every living creature that moveth, and every winged fowl’
- On day 5 why the change form the first statement to the second statement for animal/ fowls capable of doing something to actually doing that thing?
- On day 5 why do ‘fowl’ become ‘winged fowl’ and then’ fowls of the air’ in verse 26, and 28?
- On day 5 , why are whales in the plural with the word ‘kinds’?
- On day 5 why the use of ‘may’ ?
- On day 5 why did God proclaim whales and sea living creatures to be fruitful and multiply and not plants and animals in days 3 and 6, doesn’t He want them to fruitful and multiply too?
- The kosmos-ruah metaphor as described by Paul (2 Cor 4:6) explains all of these and all testify to the Lord Jesus Christ. Can you explain these nuances in the text and testify to Christ at the same time?
- On day 6 why are 4 things asked to be brought forward (‘living creature, cattle, creeping thing and beasts of the earth’) but only 3 appear to be made? (beast of the earth, cattle., and every thing that creepeth)?
- On day 6 why are ‘living creature, and beasts of the earth’ ‘kinds’ in the first statement and in the second statement’ beast of the earth, cattle., and every thing that creepeth’ are now all kinds?
- On day 6 why does ‘living creature’ disappear in the second statement?
- On day 6 why the change form the first statement to the second statement for creeping things capable of creeping to now actually creeping?
- On day 6 why are cattle in the plural with the word ‘kinds’?
- On day 6 why are their two sets of commands and actions in day 3 and day 6 that have no connection in the literal but both link with in the metaphor as described? (the first referring to spiritual anatomy make up the second our behaviour)
- On day 6 verse 26 why do all the listed items match the God made items in days 5 and 6?
- On day 6 verse 28 why do all the listed items match the God made or God’s commands of day 5?
- On day 6 verse 27 ‘ his own image (plural), in the image’ of God created he him (singular)’ why the change to singular?
- The kosmos-ruah metaphor as described by Paul (2 Cor 4:6) explains all of these and all testify to the Lord Jesus Christ. Can you explain these nuances in the text and testify to Christ at the same time?
- In Genesis 2:2-3 why does God seem to rest from works but also have to sanctify created work in order to rets from that too?
- This parallels what God does for our spirit especially with the use of ‘in’ in Genesis 2:3, is this a coincidence?
- In Genesis 2;4 describes two generations of heaven and earth- the first is created-heaven fist and then earth, the second is made earth first then heaven, with a more intimate name change , this exactly parallels what happens to our spirit, is this a coincidence?
- Why do names change to ‘...of the field’ and why is ‘.. of the earth’ used no more?
- Why is a new term ground used? which seems to be the result of mist hitting the earth-why is this?
- Because Genesis 2:5 describes a time before plants are made do you accept that man may have been made for dust in day 3 ? (Being made a living soul on day 6 )
- The LORD god plants a garden which seems to facilitate rivers flowing out of the ground-this parallels our indwellings being planted and made to grow in us and leading to living waters flowing out of our bellies. Is this a coincidence?
- the names of the rivers and their destinations summarise well the actions of The Holy Spirit is this a coincidence?
- Genesis 2 describes God putting man in the garden twice, why?
- The functions of the trees in Eden and the punishments for not obeying God ‘s laws parallel our relationship with The Holy Spirit, is this a coincidence?
- I Genesis 2:19-20 the categories of animals match what God made in days 5 and 6. Why?
- In Genesis 21-25 Why did God use the term help meet and not wife/woman/bride?
- Why does he then switch to woman?
- Adam took an injury to his side and gave a part of his spirit to get a bride and Jesus did the same on the cross. is thus a coincidence?
- 6 relationships are defined in NT scripture, saved in Jesus and The Holy Spirit, The Holy Spirit and Jesus in us, the saved one body in Christ and the saved the bride of Christ- all of these relationships are defined in Genesis 2:8-25, is this a coincidence?
- Did Jesus Christ refer to this metaphor of the rivers in Eden paralleling living waters flowing out of our bellies? Where else in the Bible offers more information about this phenomena?
- The kosmos-ruah metaphor as described by Paul (2 Cor 4:6) explains all of these and all testify to the Lord Jesus Christ. Can you explain these nuances in the text and testify to Christ at the same time?
What are the chances of these being there by accident?
